I started my professional career as a dancer, having enjoyed moving and studying the body from a very early age. Bodywork and yoga soon followed. With over 25 years of experience as a bodyworker, I started to get curious about why clients get stuck or don’t heal. This, as well as my own personal experience, brought me to the study of trauma and its impact on the body. My focus is on helping my clients feel safe in their bodies again through the lens of early trauma and attachment issues. I use all the tools from my experience including Somatic Experiencing, trauma-informed somatic bodywork, DARe, the Safe and Sound Protocol, trauma-informed yoga therapy, and pre and perinatal psychology to help my clients uncover, repair and integrate their early trauma experiences. As a retired doula with 20 years of experience and a pre/postnatal massage and yoga therapist, I have a special affinity and depth of experience with the process of pregnancy, birth and postpartum and the imprints these leave on us as babies that show up throughout our lives.

I would love to speak with you about how we can work together on your healing journey. You can make an appointment for a 30 minute consultation on my website www.theflourishcentersomatic.com or text me at 919-228-8856,
