Julie Teetsov
Julie works as a Yoga Teacher, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, DARe Practitioner and Craniosacral Therapist.
Julie teaches yoga classes for students with somatic symptoms such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and various auto-immune disorders. She also offers trauma-informed touch sessions using a hands-on approach to healing trauma, with fully-clothed seated or table work. Her style is informed by her training in Cranial Sacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, Touch Skills Training for Trauma Therapists with Kathy Kain, and Somatic Movement Education with the school of Body Mind Centering.
Julie enjoys teaching workshops and assisting at Cranial-Sacral, Somatic Experiencing, DARe, and BMC trainings around the world.
After receiving her yoga teacher training from the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health in the USA, Julie continued to study with renowned yoga teachers and movement educators such as Donna Farhi, Martha Eddy, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews, completing advanced studies in restorative yoga and the Body-Mind Centering (BMC) embodied approach to teaching yoga using somatisation and experiential anatomy and physiology.
Julie went on to study Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Dianne Poole Heller’s Dynamic Attachment Repatterining (DARe) in order to build her skills for working with clients healing from trauma, and since 2015 she continues to be guided by these somatic and attachment based approaches for working with trauma. Julie now specialises in working with developmental trauma using touch and movement as she continues to study with Kathy Kain and Stephan Tyrell.
