Sarah Hagedorn

Somatic Therapist

I partner with you for an embodied journey, whether that means becoming more present in your body, mapping your overwhelming responses, renegotiating memories, or deepening your connection to self, others, and the world in a meaningful and actionable way.

I bring Somatic Experiencing (SE) together with DARe to help my clients navigate the survival and attachment needs that were often at odds in their childhood. I hold the perspective that regulation and co-regulation are extremely important tools, and yet so is expanding your capacity to tolerate a range of experience and emotion so you can continue to engage with life.  My role is to offer you the support, the safe container, and the foundational skills needed for healthy, dynamic relating to self and others.

Sometimes developmental stress becomes more physically engrained, which might look like chronic tension patterns, chronic illness, pain, fatigue, or ongoing inflammation in the body. When these are acutely present, I may suggest we incorporate a hands-on approach of craniosacral therapy and SE touch work to slowly build regulation/co-regulation and capacity in your nervous system.

As a bicoastal therapist, please note your location and the services I can provide for you there!

Oregon: mental health counseling and somatic trauma therapy (OR Professional Counselor Associate)
Massachusetts: somatic counseling, table-based craniosacral therapy for nervous system regulation  (LMT licensed in MA)
All other US states and abroad: somatic coaching, spiritual counseling (practicing coach since 2011)

Want to connect? I'm happy to provide a 20-30 minute video call to answer your questions and give you a sense of how I work. Please email me at or visit my website, to sign up for a free consult call.
